RME
The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Worker's Compensation, authorizes insurance carriers to request a required medical examination (RME) for injured employees to resolve any questions regarding the appropriateness of the health care received by the injured employee and to resolve any issues pertaining to a designated doctor determination regarding their injury as outlined under the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) and the Texas Labor Code.
Designated Doctors Outsourcing, LLC provides qualified physicians to perform these required medical examinations as requested by the insurance carrier on injured employees pursuant to the rules and regulations outlined by rule 126.5 in the TAC. Our web based software will enable our physicians to receive and send medical reports and correspondence directly and efficiently through a secure intranet site.
